Leaks and drips
Traced and repaired, from a weeping joint under the sink to a leak behind a panel.
Everyday plumbing done tidily by a qualified engineer: leaks traced and repaired, taps and toilets fixed, radiators fitted and moved. Big jobs and small ones.
Traced and repaired, from a weeping joint under the sink to a leak behind a panel.
Running cisterns, weak flushes, new fill and flush valves, and full toilet swaps.
Dripping taps, stiff handles, new kitchen and bathroom taps fitted.
New radiators, swaps, relocations, bleeding, and thermostatic valves (TRVs).
Fitted with the backflow protection the regulations require.
Washing machines and dishwashers plumbed in, with isolation valves.
Why it's worth fixing a drip now rather than later.
A steadily dripping tap can waste more than 5,000 litres of water a year.
Source: WaterwiseA cistern constantly trickling into the pan can waste hundreds of litres every day, often silently.

Source: water company guidanceIf you have a water meter, a leaking cistern shows up directly on your bill. A simple check: put a few drops of food colouring in the cistern and wait 15 minutes without flushing. Colour in the pan means the flush valve is letting water past.
If mains pressure drops, water can be pulled backwards through a hose left in a bucket, pond or paddling pool. Check valves stop that dirty water getting into the drinking supply, which is why they're required on outside taps.

Usually under the kitchen sink, but it can be in a downstairs toilet, utility room, garage or under the stairs. Find it before you need it. In a leak, turning it off clockwise stops the water.
Turn off the water at the stopcock, switch off electrics near the leak if it's safe, catch what you can in a bucket, then call. If water is near the consumer unit, keep clear and call an electrician too.
Usually a worn fill valve that won't shut off, or a flush valve seal letting water trickle into the pan. Both are quick, inexpensive fixes.
Yes. Dripping taps, running toilets and radiator swaps are just as welcome as bigger jobs.
Yes. Under the Water Fittings Regulations, an outside tap needs protection against backflow, usually a double check valve, so garden water can't contaminate your drinking supply.
